The patch at the old Mumbai-Pune highway where metro work is in progress has become a risky affair. Within a week, two cases of falling blocks were reported at Phugewadi and Morwadi. Fortunately, no one was injured, but a car was damaged.
In both incidents, commuters had a narrow escape after concrete blocks of the
Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (
MahaMetro) fell on the busy highway. One incident was reported on June 21, and the second on June 25. ....
