As a keynote speaker at the Recovery Road Summit hosted by the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Moncton, Frank McKenna, the Deputy Chair of TD Bank was posed various questions on the province’s economic state.
Perhaps the question that generated the most emphatic response from the former premier was regarding working from home.
When asked if the increase in remote work could benefit New Brunswick, McKenna described the situation as “Such a stunningly good idea I wish I could have thought of it.”
McKenna seemed enamoured with the idea the pandemic could actually solve a problem past legislature had not been able to. ....

A complaint has been filed against Premier Blaine Higgs over a letter written by Energy Development Minister Mike Holland to the Energy and Utilities Board.
Liberal MLA Rob McKee complains the letter is a conflict of interest and Higgs should be responsible for interfereing, because Holland was acting on his behalf, according to CBC.  Holland asked the board to rush its review of a request from Irving Oil for an increase in price margins that gas retailers are allowed to charge customers
The Liberals say Higgs, has a “private interest” in the EUB decision because he is a former Irving Oil executive. The government argues that there is no conflict for Higgs as he would not be financially better off no matter the decision. ....
