The Water Supply Project is being funded by Japan International Cooperation Agency. The project is being set up along the banks of the Brahmaputra.

GUWAHATI: Ahead of the upcoming Assam Assembly Polls, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and the Ambassador of Japan to India, Satoshi Suzuki, on Monday visited the Japan International Cooperation Agency funded Guwahati water supply project site along the Brahmaputra.
Union minister Jaishankar reviewed the progress of the project along with the Japanese Ambassador of Japan.
The External Affairs Minister and Ambassador of Japan to India arrived in Guwahati on Sunday evening for reviewing Indo-Japanese projects being implemented in Assam. They were received at the Lokopriyo Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport by Assam State Industries and Commerce Minister Chandra Mohan Pa ....
