The deceased woman, aged 22, died due to drowning in the lake, cops said.

Naupada Police officials and a
fire brigade team rushed to the spot with one fire engine and one hearse van as soon as the body was sighted.
The body was then fished out of the lank and has now been handed over to the Naupada police.
The cops are trying to identify the woman and further investigation into the case is being carried out. They have also issued a notice asking people to share details about the women s identity, if any. ....

Mumbai on Tuesday reported 7,898 new COVID-19 cases, taking the tally to 5,35,017, while 26 more patients succumbed to the infection. Maharashtra recorded 60,212 fresh coronavirus positive cases, with which the caseload reached 35,19,208. On the other hand, 281 people died due to the COVID-19 infection. The total death toll in the state reached 58,526. There are presently 5,93,042 active cases in the state.Due to the rising COVID-19 cases, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has announced that the state will be under a strict curfew for the next 15 days. Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) on Tuesday declared a building in the Majiwada area of the city a micro containment zone.
The action comes after 13 people from the
Highland Annex building tested positive for the COVID-19 virus.
The civic body has also restricted people from going out of the building and barred entry of outsiders, as is standard procedure when a building is sealed. ....

. In the wee hours of Sunday, a burglary took place in a jewellery shop located at
Thane s Shivai Nagar. It is believed that up to 3 kgs of gold has been stolen from a store named Warimata Gold. The incident took place between 2 and 2:30 am.
Two months prior to this incident, a man from outside
Maharashtra had offered Rs. 28,000 to rent a store next to Warimata Gold. The shop tenant had said that he had a fruit business.
After two months of pretending to sell fruits, the accused broke the walls and stole all the gold jewellery from the victim s store during the night. The Vartak Nagar police are currently investigating the incident further. ....
