More tertiary education opportunities for students in Wangaratta
The Morrison Government will provide funding to help establish the Country Universities Centre (CUC) Ovens Murray, creating more opportunities for local students to pursue tertiary education studies in regional Victoria.
The Australian Government will provide more than $2.5 million to establish a main campus in Wangaratta and satellite centres in Mansfield and Corryong – fulfilling an election commitment to establish a Regional University Centre in Wangaratta.
This project will be funded through the Government’s $74.2 million Regional University Centres program.
Minister for Education and Youth Alan Tudge said the CUC Ovens Murray centre would be crucial in delivering more opportunities for regional and rural students in Wangaratta. ....

CUC Macleay Valley opens door to higher education opportunities

On Friday 30th April 2021, the Country Universities Centre (CUC) Macleay Valley was officially opened. The event was headlined by several guests including the Member for Cowper, Pat Conaghan MP, the Kempsey Shire Council Mayor, Liz Campbell, and the local CUC Board, who joined with community members to celebrate the Centre’s opening.
The Study Hub, located at Kempsey Central, has been operational to students since March 2021 and already more than 70 students have registered and are using the Centre’s incredible facilities.
The Member for Cowper, Pat Conaghan, said that the Centre’s opening is a wonderful milestone for the Kempsey community. ....
