The multibillion-dollar iron ore tax championed by former Nationals WA leader Brendon Grylls will not be resuscitated by the party or pursued by the McGowan Labor government.
Labor’s stomping return to power in March delivered the government control of both houses, reduced the Liberal Party to just two lower house seats and installed the Nationals as the official opposition.
The iron ore state agreements were struck in the 1960s.
