Brazos County jury trials suspended until at least Feb

BRYAN, TX — 25 News has confirmed with Brazos County Judge Kyle Hawthorne that jury trials will be suspended due to COVID-19.
Following the recommendations of Brazos County Alternative Health Authority, Dr. Sullivan, officials decided on this as local defense attorneys also expressed their concerns with in-person jury trials.
Judge Hawthorne confirmed Feb is being considered. However, expressed they will continue to follow the County plan certified by the State, and listen to local health officials as well.
