Engineer Gives Road Project Update to Buffalo Council – Sheridan Media

The project engineer gave an update to the Buffalo City Council during their recent meeting, discussing this year’s major construction projects.
Brent Bennett, with Nelson Engineering, said the city’s Fetterman and Burritt reconstruction project has the roads open to traffic and the engineer, contractor, and the city will be working together to compile a “punch list” of items still needing to be done, and cleaning up the project area.
Bennett also discussed the Flatiron Drive project, saying the contractor has been working on installing the new water line on Cinema Drive and “grubbing” (or the removal of trees, shrubs, stumps, and rubbish from a site for a road and/or utility corridor) along Flagstaff Way. ....

Hook said the Fetterman project is nearing completion.
The Flatiron Drive Reconstruction Project is expected to get underway in the next couple of weeks, according to Hook.
Barnum Construction of Buffalo was awarded the $2.3 million project contract, which will pave Flatiron Drive and Flagstaff Way to Cinema Drive and installation of water and sewer lines and storm drains under those streets as well.
There will also be a second entrance into the subdivision via Cinema Drive when the project is complete, according to discussions at the meeting.
The project’s tentative completion date is July of 2022.
Hook also said the Buffalo Wells and Pipeline project is still under review with the Department of Environmental Quality. ....

City of Buffalo Gearing Up for Summer Projects – Sheridan Media

The City of Buffalo has a number of projects on the schedule for this summer, and is awaiting spring weather to get started on them.
Buffalo Mayor Shane Schrader talked with Sheridan Media about some of the projects that are planned for this spring and summer.
The Fetterman/Burritt project will finish up by continuing reconstruction of the roadway west to Fort Street, and also move east to Burritt and north to the stoplight.
The Flatiron Drive reconstruction project is expected to go out to bid probably by the end of the month.
The reconstruction will be done in concrete as opposed to asphalt, which will help the road surface last longer. ....
