VISAKHAPATNAM: Top Telugu Desam leaders discussed prospects of their candidates in the ensuing GVMC elections here on Wednesday in the backdrop of several contesting candidates withdrawing their nominations and joining the ruling party.

Visakhapatnam, Dec 21 : In a peculiar development, Peela Govinda Satyanarayana, from whom Andhra Pradesh revenue department recovered 60 acres of encroached government land recently is shying away from claiming ownership.
Peela Govidna Satyanarayana people are not coming forward that this land belongs to them, a revenue official from the city told IANS.
Satyanarayana was a former Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLA.
Some other people are coming. So they are confusing us saying this land is ours, this land is ours. They are claiming, he said about the unique problem the department was facing. ....

AP Government Reclaims Lands Encroached By TDP Leaders In Visakhapatnam

VISAKHAPATNAM: Andhra Pradesh Government retrieved huge tracts of land near Visakhapatnam, which were reportedly encroached by senior TDP leaders, Visakhapatnam North MLA Velagapudi Ramakrishna Prasad, and former MLA Peela Govinda Satyanarayana .
As per reports, on Sunday morning Revenue officials took back land close to Rushikonda area, which was occupied by the TDP MLA Velagapudi, put, and put up boards declaring the land to be property of the Andhra Pradesh government
The revenue authorities also reclaimed 60 acres of poramboke land in the morning hours, which was occupied by former Anakapalli MLA Peela Govind. The lands which fall under Survey Number 156 of BDPalem village in Anandapuram mandal near Visakhaptnam, are said to be worth around Rs 300 Crores. ....
