Pune Municipal Corporation’s (
PMC) helpline number, ideally supposed to be a one-stop-solution for registrations of bed and other services, is not responding regarding any availability.
The PMC built the system to give out information about availability of oxygen as well as ventilator beds, ambulances, COVID tests and isolation units. Citizens looking for beds and in related emergencies usually call on the helpline number, register the patient’s name and details about oxygen saturation levels and comorbidities, if any. The lax in the system has, however, left people hopeless and infuriated running from one hospital to another for admissions. ....
