Man Charged in 2019 Murder

A Pulaski County man, already serving time for other charges, was indicted Wednesday in connection with the 2019 murder of LeeAnna Brumley. On Wednesday, the Pulaski County Grand Jury returned an indictment charging 55-year-old Gerald Avalon Hendricks with murder and tampering with physical evidence. Hendricks was served the indictment at the Pulaski County Detention Center on Thursday, where he was already serving time for other, unrelated charges. His bond was set at $500,000 cash and property. Police say he told Danelle Powell to kill Brumley or he would kill Powell and her children. Brumley was shot, hit in the head with a hatchet, then burned in May 2019. ....

Baker pleads not guilty to murder charge

The man accused of fatally shooting his father s friend when he tried to intervene in a family argument has pleaded not guilty to the charges against him.
Samuel Lee Baker, 22, of Bowling Green, is charged with Murder, first-degree Burglary, Convicted Felon in Possession of a Handgun and second-degree Persistent Felony Offender as part of the indictment filedÂ lastÂ month.
Baker pleaded not guilty when arraigned on April 22 in Pulaski Circuit Court.
Baker is also charged with second-degree Fleeing and Evading Police (Motor Vehicle), second-degree Fleeing and Evading Police (On Foot), Reckless Driving, Possession of Marijuana, Suspended License, No Insurance, and Resisting Arrest in Casey County, where he was ultimately arrested following the March 18 shooting. ....
