Fire forces family to evacuate home, causes $185K in damage, fire officials say

SAN ANTONIO – A San Antonio family safely escaped a late-night two-story house fire in the city’s Northside , but the fire caused extensive damage to their home, fire officials said Wednesday.
The fire was called in around 10 p.m. at a home in 25600 block of Crimson Beauty, not far from Overlook Parkway and Highway 281 in Timberwood Park.
Firefighters said they arrived to find flames coming from the second level of the two-story home. Initial reports were that a child was trapped inside, but when they arrived everyone including the pets had made it safely out, fire officials said. ....
