WACO, TX — During the shutdown and quarantines, there were still people who went to work everyday, risking exposure to themselves and their loved ones, all to make sure that health care facilities, police and fire departments, senior living facilities and food distribution centers remained open to care for the citizens of Waco.
“Things have changed so much over the past year, and there are a lot of people who are really feeling the effects of that. So it was a way to reach out and tell them ‘Hey you are not forgotten. We know you are working hard to take care of people,” said Hospice Educator at Bluebonnet Health Services and a volunteer for Cookies for Caregivers, Autumn Outlaw. ....
