BEACON FALLS – Peter “Pete” A. Christensen, 66, passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at MidState Medical Center.
Peter was born March 1, 1955 in Waterbury, the son of the late Martin and Concelia (Barbieri) Christensen. Peter spent his career serving others as a telecommunicator and 911 dispatcher.
A lifelong resident, he was extremely dedicated to the town of Beacon Falls. Peter was a longtime member and former deacon of the Beacon Falls Congregational Church. He served on the Board of Education, the library board of directors, and clerked for several other town committees.
Peter was a 46-year member of Beacon Hose Company No. 1, where he held countless roles in the department, including firefighter, EMT, EMS director and chairman of the scholarship committee. While Peter loved his work and his town, he loved his family most of all. ....

Beacon Falls church joins national movement
BEACON FALLS With the efficiency of an assembly line, seven volunteers Feb. 9 made tray after tray of lasagna or as they put it the “ultimate comfort food” in the kitchen at Beacon Falls Congregational Church.
The lasagnas were destined for the tables of Beacon Falls residents who need a little comfort during the COVID-19 pandemic as part of the national Lasagna Love project.
“It’s just about bringing love and hope to the community through food,” said parishioner and volunteer Joann Overby, who coordinates the church’s Lasagna Love efforts.
Lasagna Love is a nationwide grassroots movement that aims to positively impact communities by connecting neighbors with neighbors through homemade meal delivery, the project’s website states. ....
