West Bengal schools to reopen from February 12 for classes 9 to 12: Minister Partha Chatterjee

The schools across West Bengal are reopening for class 9 to class 12 from February 12. The WB Government has decided to reopen the schools with proper SOPs and guidelines.

West Bengal Education Minister, Partha Chatterjee announced the reopening of schools for class 9 to class 12. The schools of West Bengal are all set to reopen from February 12, 2021.
The West Bengal Education Minister Partha Chatterjee announced this today, February 2, 2021. The schools will reopen after ten months, after being shut due to the coronavirus pandemic. Several other states have also reopened schools this month with proper guidelines. ....

WB Board Exam 2021: Madhyamik & HS exams to be held in June – Education Minister Partha Chatterjee

He further added, “If the situation changes, the board and council will take decisions accordingly.”
The decision comes a day after Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank during his interaction with teachers on Tuesday announced that no CBSE Board examinations would be conducted in January or February next year as the COVID19 cases continue to rise in the country.
Earlier, the syllabus for class 10, 12 was reduced by the state government by 30 to 35 percent due to the pandemic. The recommendations were made by the expert panel constituted by the government after which the Education Minister announced the reduction of the syllabus. ....
