New Chick-fil-A coming to South Point Road
Chick-fil-A confirmed the new location but declined to share a timeframe on its possible construction or opening.
Belmont Planning officials said Tuesday the popular chicken chain is working to build its new location at 925 South Point Road. That s a currently vacant outparcel portion of the Belmont Town Center property which includes Harris Teeter. 
It also sits across from South Point High School. 
Peyton Ratchford, a Belmont planning technician, said Tuesday the office has approved sketch plans for the project and are reviewing construction plans for the site. 
A sign permit was also applied for in December but that has yet to be approved, Ratchford said. A zoning permit for the project has yet to be approved.  ....
