Police seek help finding missing Niles man

BERRIEN COUNTY, MI – Police are asking the public’s help finding a missing Niles Township man.
Alfred Hacker, 56, was last seen around 1 p.m. Monday, April 19, walking east on Oak Street. He lives on Woods Edge Drive and did not return home after going for a walk.
He may not be able to ask for help or get home, Berrien County sheriff’s deputies said.
He previously lived in Three Rivers and has walked there in the past, police said.
He goes by Al or Fred. He was wearing a long-sleeve flannel shirt over a red shirt, blue denims and white sneakers. Police asked anyone with information to call Berrien County Central Dispatch at 269-983-7141.

The search continues for a man who police believe went on a walk from the Niles area on Monday and never returned home.
The Berrien County Sheriffâs Office says 56-year-old Alfred Hacker, who also goes by Al or Fred, may be headed to the Three Rivers area where he previously lived.
Deputies say he may not have the mental capability to inform others of his information or to get home.
