Delmont man sentenced for possession of child pornography

A Delmont man was sentenced Friday to serve nearly two years in jail for possession of child pornography.
Michael Goodis, 53, was convicted by a Westmoreland County jury in October of 32 felony counts in connection with at least 30 different pornographic images found stored on his computer equipment depicting children as young as 7 being forced to commit sexual acts.
Jurors also found Goodis guilty of distributing those images and using a computer for that purpose.
“This defendant was not directly responsible for creating this child pornography but his conduct still has an impact on the victims,” said Common Pleas Court Judge Christopher Feliciani. ....
