Speaking to media in Patna, Kumar said, In yesterday s NITI Aayog governing council meeting, we raised questions about electricity. If everyone pays (rate of electricity supplied by Centre to states) the same for electricity across the country, it would be good. As of now, we pay more than others.

He added that the police will provide information only it is the employer s decision to hire the individual or not. Speaking to ANI, Kumar said, I want to clarify that this new circular of Bihar police is in relation with character verification report, in regard to this we have added that if a person is involved in criminal activity and there is a record of it, we should mark it in their character verification report.

The Bihar Police said the charges will be categorically mentioned in the person s character verification report by the police. If any person indulges in any criminal activity by involving in any law and order situation, protests or road blockage and is charged for this, then it should be categorically mentioned in the person s character verification report by the police. Such people should be prepared for serious consequences as they won t be able to get government jobs or state-owned liquor outlets, ANI quoted Bihar Police as saying.
