The City of New Bern Parks and Recreation Department has announced that Friday night’s Footloose on the Neuse concert series opener featuring Bryan Mayer and the I-42 Band has been cancelled. The concert was to be held at Union Point Park. 
In an email sent to Parks and Recreation Friday morning, Bill Stafford, spokesman for the I-42 Band, said, “It is with deep regret that the I-42 band will have to cancel tonight due to a medical-related issue. The I-42 Band is a high-energy band that must be at full strength to perform.” 
No other details were provided about the cancellation. ....
