Poteet Strawberry Festival is proceeding this year, though visitors will be asked to wear masks.
The event s organizers says volunteers and staff will be required to mask up at next month s festival. The Poteet Strawberry Festival Association says social distancing and sanitization policies will still be in place.
Organizers released the following statement,

The health and safety of our guests, volunteers and staff remains our highest priority as we move forward with having the 2021 festival. Our plans for additional sanitizing and distancing remain in place as well as working with our local/state officials in order to provide the safest experience for all in attendance at our event. All of our staff and volunteers will be wearing masks and we strongly encourage our guests to do the same. We are all aware there are risks associated with public gatherings, but also know this is a final opportunity for many of us to avoid closing our doors fo ....

SAN ANTONIO – Organizers of the Poteet Strawberry Festival will require volunteers and staff to wear face coverings but will only ask guests to do the same.
The Poteet Strawberry Festival Association on Monday said they “strongly encourage” the use of masks during the event that will bring food, live music and a carnival to the town on April 9-11.
Despite the association stepping down from the mask mandate that was a part of their safety plan released to KSAT earlier this year, organizers said other sanitizing and social distancing policies will remain in place. ....

SAN ANTONIO – After organizers announced this week that the Poteet Strawberry Festival would return this spring, many questioned about the safety protocols and expressed concern over the idea of being around a large crowd.
In a statement to KSAT 12, the Poteet Strawberry Festival Association has clarified why the festival was brought back and released their safety plan.
