Necessary instructions have been given to police personnel at all levels in this regard, he said.
The State imposed the lockdown for 10 days beginning at 10 AM from today to prevent the spread of COVID-19 with four hours relaxation in the morning daily.
In a video message, he requested the people to cooperate with the governments decision and follow self-restrictions.
He further said police would help the people in cases of medical emergencies and vaccination.
Lockdown is perfectly implemented. Traffic on inter-state borders is being regulated. Necessary measures have been taken for smooth passage of goods vehicles and other vehicles passing through the State through National Highways, Reddy said. ....

The Telangana High Court on Tuesday came down heavily on the police and the State government, observing that they were presenting a rosy picture of “coronavirus under control” while the “ground reality is completely different”.
A Bench of Chief Justice Hima Kohli and Justice B. Vijaysen Reddy directed the Police Commissioners of Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Rachakonda Anjani Kumar, V.C. Sajjanar, and Mahesh Bhagwat respectively to “put your heads together” and let the court know how they were planning to check the spread of COVID-19 by 2.30 p.m. The Police Commissioners attended the hearing virtually. ....

Bench tells Police Commissioners to ensure everyone conforms to COVID-19 rules during relaxation time
Describing sudden imposition of 20-hours-per-day lockdown in the State as ‘knee-jerk’ reaction, the Telangana High Court on Tuesday said the government should have given more breathing time for people to pool up groceries and other essential commodities.
A bench of Chief Justice Hima Kohli and Justice B. Vijaysen Reddy said that other States had given sufficient time for people before clamping lockdown, so that they made arrangements to meet the situation. The bench issued a slew of directions to Police Commissioners of Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Rachakonda Anjani Kumar, V.C. Sajjanar and Mahesh Bhagwat respectively. They attended the court in virtual mode, after the bench advanced the hearing of PIL pleas on COVID-19 related issues from Thursday to Tuesday, taking into consideration the grave situation people were facing due to alarming rise in COVID-19 cases. ....

The Telangana cabinet has decided to impose lockdown in the State from 10 am on Wednesday for ten days.
“However, there would be relaxation for all the activities from 6 AM to 10 AM daily,” a release from Chief Minister’s office said on Tuesday. The Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao also decided to invite global tenders for the procurement of the vaccine.
In view of surge in COVID-19 positive cases, the Telangana Government had issued orders imposing night curfew from April 20. It was extended by another 10 days subsequently. The third extension was given till May 15. ....
