Party hosts called police on gatecrashers prior to officer shoving man

Earlier in the evening they registered the party on the Good One website, set up for party planners to alert police in advance.
Officers arrived at the Waimairi Rd property about 7pm to have a chat with the group and see how it was going.

The officer pushed the man to the ground and points at him saying: âYou were told to go home, now go homeâ.
The party went without incident until about 10.30pm, when people started coming in from off the street who were not invited. The uninvited guests started damaging the property and causing fights.
“They started some stuff, talking a lot of s… to some of our mates. We were like, ‘we’re really sorry, but we would appreciate it if you left’,” one of the flatmates said. ....

The police watchdog has launched an investigation into an officer s actions at an out-of-control Christchurch party

The incident was caught on video as police tried to quell a party of about 200 revellers on Waimairi Road in Ilam, late on Thursday night.
One officer was heard calling a woman skanky before shoving another man to the ground, after he swore at the officer in response.
Canterbury District Commander Superintendent John Price, says the incident has been investigated by Police Professional Conduct and handed over to the IPCA.
He says police are expected to act professionally, and any allegation of misconduct faces heavy scrutiny. ....

The police watchdog is now investigating a policeman s actions at an out-of-control Christchurch party.
An officer was caught on camera calling a woman skanky before shoving another man to the ground, after he swore at him in response.
The incident was filmed as officers tried to quell a party of about 200 revellers at Ilam late Thursday night.
