Karan Mehra who made a memorable and long TV stint with the show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is back on TV. Karan has made a debut on Punjabi TV this year opposite fbb Colors Femina Miss India Uttar Pradesh 2018 Himanshi Parashar. Himanshi has acted in several Punjabi music videos in the last two years. Though Karan is a Punjabi with roots in Jalandhar, he says he has never spoken the language but still found it came easy to him once he started speaking it for the shooting of the show.
I have never spoken Punjabi and the fact that I was going to do a Punjabi TV show, a daily, was a little more worrying than if I was doing a Punjabi film, laughs Karan, adding, In a film you have a couple of scenes and dialogues and it wraps up. But a TV show is one where you have do day in and day out, and thus also speak the language for that long, which is like a challenge. But my friend, director Sahil Kohli somehow convinced me into doing this show last Februar ....
