Islamabad: Prominent Pakistani religious scholar Maulana Tariq Jameel was admitted to hospital on Sunday after testing positive for coronavirus.
“I was not feeling well from the last few days” and after the COVID-19 test came positive, “I was admitted to the hospital on the advice of the doctors” the scholar shared on his Twitter account. He requested his followers to pray for his health.
Tariq Jameel, 67, is a popular Muslim preacher who achieved fame with his message of religious tolerance, self-purification, observance of Allah’s orders and pursuing the way of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
