Student-delegates are debating on resolutions to address inequalities based on gender, race and education at the 17
th
International School Brunei Borneo Global Issues Conference (ISB BGIC).
The conference attended by 300 delegates from 22 schools began yesterday and will continue until March 8 at the International Convention Centre. The conference focussed on 10
th Sustainable Development Goal (SDG10) – Reduced Inequalities.
Inequalities based on race, gender and education has worsened during the COVID-19 pandemic, said a statement from ISB BGIC. This had led to deepening gaps in wealth, opportunities, accessibilities and a range of other societal measures.
The delegates had a month to prepare and research on these topics to be addressed during the conference. ....
