Lansing Township man charged with homicide of pregnant girlfriend
LANSING TWP.  A Lansing Township man has been accused of shooting and killing a woman he was in a relationship with, according to the police department. 
The Lansing Township Police Department was called to the 3500 block of Kings Point Terrace for a reported suicide, according to a news release. 
The original report was that Katelyn Marie Smith, 24, had died by suicide after shooting herself, according to the release. Police determined her death was suspicious, however, and looked further into it.
The father of her two children, Michael Sczepanski, 22, was charged with her death last week.  ....
