MAYVILLE The Presidents Day Winter Festival in Mayville is canceled this year, but Family Health Medical Services plans to continue its annual Polar Plunge.
In the past six years, the FHMS Polar Plunge event raised $39,255.69 for community members in need. Individuals pledged to raise funds for the chance to take a chilly plunge into Chautauqua Lake closely supervised by a dive team.
Due to the continued increase of COVID-19 cases, Chautauqua County’s Polar Plunge on Feb. 6 has shifted to an all Brrr-tual Event for 2021. While the event may look different this year, the need for community support remains the same. ....
