ARTA to endorse gov't employees under probe for lifestyle checks – Manila Bulletin

The Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) said it is now preparing to endorse government employees and officials under its investigation to the Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) for lifestyle checks.
In a radio interview, ARTA Director General Jeremiah Belgica revealed the agency’s move following the continuing delays in the processing of permit applications for various products at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Executive Order (EO) No. 43 s.2017, as amended by EO No. 73 s.2017, states that the PACC “may, upon instructions of the President, or motu propio, conduct lifestyle checks and fact-finding inquiries on acts or omissions of all presidential appointees, including those outside the Executive Branch of government.” ....

ARTA eyes lifestyle check on FDA execs, staff under probe

THE ANTI-RED Tape Authority (ARTA) could soon request for lifestyle checks on Food and Drug Administration (FDA) employees and officials under investigation.
The request will be made to the Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) with whom ARTA has a partnership to align work on corruption-related complaints sent to either agency.
The red tape watchdog in a statement on Thursday said it has gathered leads on individuals who could be recommended to PACC for lifestyle checks.
“We also have some leads that we are discussing already with our investigation team,” ARTA Director General Jeremiah B. Belgica told One News on Thursday, adding that he cannot offer more details. ....

Graft raps filed vs NEA administrator—PACC

The Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) said on Wednesday, May 12, that it filed a graft and corruption case against an official of the National Electrification Administration (NEA) for allegedly allowing electric cooperatives (EC) to contribute to the campaign fund of a partylist group for the 2019 midterm elections.
PACC Chairman Greco Belgica said that NEA Administrator Edgardo Masongsong, with the rank of undersecretary, will face charges on possible violations of RA 3019 or the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act, as well as the Omnibus Election Code (OEC).

PACC Chairman Greco Belgica said that they regularly receive reports about government officials whose lifestyles are not commensurate to what they earn from their posts and what they declare on their Statement of Assets and Liabilities and Net Worth (SALN).
“Sila po ay pwedeng kasuhan ng unexplained wealth (We can file a case against them for unexplained wealth),” he said in the Laging Handa public briefing, noting they have a list of names of those who will be charged before the Office of the Ombudsman.

ARTA, PACC forge stronger partnership vs corruption in gov't – Manila Bulletin

The Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) and the Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) forged a deal on Wednesday to further bolster their partnership in suppressing red tape and corruption in the government.
Under the MOA, ARTA and PACC aim “to align and integrate their functions, coordination and cooperation in handling complaints and reports of violations.”
“This has been a much-anticipated partnership that puts PACC and ARTA at the forefront of the President’s war against corruption,” PACC Chairman Greco Belgica said.
