Police say the woman was crossing the middle block of Preston traveling northbound when she was hit by the vehicle. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.Motorists are advised to avoid the 7100 block of Preston for the next few hours as both the NB and SB lanes are closed to traffic.The driver remained at the scene and the investigation, which is being handled by the traffic unit, is ongoing. ....
