She spoke at a faculty development programme on “New Challenges and Possibilities in the Field of Art” held online by the Faculty Development Centre (PMMMNTT), Ministry of Education, Government of India, in collaboration with the Department of Fine Arts, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra.
Professor Jahan said that the traditional Indian art has much more to offer and the important thing is the approach towards its ethos and applying it in contemporary environment. She stressed that Indian artists and art students have immense potential for creative responses to their environment and what is actually needed is proper guidance to them.
