Hong Kong: Vaccine advisers meet
The Advisory Panel on COVID-19 Vaccines appointed by the Chief Executive held its first meeting today.
Chief Executive Carrie Lam met panel members before the meeting and thanked them for providing expert and objective advice for approving vaccines.
At the meeting chaired by convenor Prof Wallace Lau, the advisory panel was briefed by the secretariat on the various relevant statutory requirements under the Prevention & Control of Disease (Use of Vaccines) Regulation, including the factors which the Secretary for Food & Health must consider before authorising a COVID-19 vaccine for emergency use and the role of the advisory panel. ....
