Oppo foldable smartphone to launch by June End: Report

Foldable smartphones have been the talk of the town since 2020. Now, a tip from a Chinese leakester that goes by the name Digital Chat Station says that Oppo is also working on its foldable smartphone that could launch as soon as this year. To be precise, by end of June.
However, this won t be the rollable Oppo Concept smartphone that had a rolling display that could contract and expand as per the user s needs. There is no information whether the fold will be outwards, inwards or in a clamshell design.

According to MacRumors, Mate X2 was unveiled during a special launch event held in China, showing off the dual-screen smartphone and its 8-inches display that now folds inwards, compared to the first model that folds outwards bringing the main display on the device s exterior.
The radical redesign could rather change the people s feedback on the device compared to Mate X.
However, the device won t be running any support for Google s apps and services, as per The Verge, and this could severely impact the device s appeal outside of China.
