Schools in Odisha will reopen tomorrow, January 8 for classes 10, 12 to prepare students for upcoming board exams. Health check-ups in educational institutes would be conducted in the state.

Odisha schools will reopen for classes 10 and 12 from tomorrow, January 8 onwards in the state. The regular classes would resume for students who will appear for the board examinations this year. The state government has decided to conduct regular health check-ups in educational institutes across the state for COVID19 after schools are reopened.
The regular classes for class 10 would be conducted from January 8, 2021, to April 26, 2021, and for class 10 the regular classes would be conducted from January 8, 2021, to April 28, 2021. The students have been allotted 100 days of classroom teaching before the examinations ....

The Odisha government on Tuesday said frequent health check-ups would be conducted in educational institutions across the state for Covid-19 after the reopening of schools and colleges.
Taking a review meeting, chief secretary Suresh Chandra Mohapatra asked the Health Department to undertake health check-ups in educational institutions and hostels as a preventive against any possible large breakout of the pandemic.
While schools for classes 10 and 12 would reopen on January 8, colleges and universities for final years would reopen on January 11. ....
