EVEN two years and three months after the closure of the state-owned Petrotrin refinery, nearby business communities say they continue to struggle.
The then-101-year-old refinery was shut down in November 2018, leading to around 5,500 job losses.
Former workers and nearby business places got some semblance of hope in September 2019, when it was announced that Patriotic Energies and Technologies Company Ltd was the preferred bidder for the Guaracara refinery. ....
