Work on QAU’s two new buildings begin Islamabad June 3, 2021 Islamabad : The ground breaking ceremony for the construction of new buildings of the Department of Pharmacy and Hostel No. 13 for Girls at Quaid-i-Azam University was held here on Wednesday. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali, Vice-Chancellor, Quaid-i-Azam University laid the foundation stones for the buildings. The scheduled time for the construction of the academic block is 18 months with an estimated cost of Rs183 million. While the girl’s hostel, a facility to accommodate 300 students will be completed in 13 months with an estimated cost of Rs173 million. The foundation stone for the construction of the road from Admin Block turn to Shahdara Road under the PSDP project was also laid. ezBike Service Launched at Quaid-i-Azam University By Hamid Khan Wazir ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Vice-Chancellor Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) Islamabad Dr. Muhammad Ali launched ezBike, Pakistan’s first electric bike-sharing service for the students of the university. The ezBike Service has been introduced in facilitation by the QAU Alumni Association which has already undertaken a number of initiatives to facilitate QAU students at the campus. With the launch of this facility, the Quaid-i-Azam University has become the first Pakistani university where students and staff will use electric bikes to move from Ona place to another within the campus. Speaking on the occasion, the Vice-Chancellor QAU Dr. Muhammad Ali appreciated the initiative and hoped that the students and the university staff would take benefit from this cheap and environment-friendly bike for traveling within the campus. ....
