CLINTON Jared Eliot Middle School has found a new principal in Kristin LaLima.
She was appointed by Clinton’s board of education June 21. The selection committee recommended LaLima after an extensive interview process that included over 40 candidates applying for the role.
A spokesperson for the district said LaLima has a sixth-year degree in educational leadership, and a master of arts degree in teaching from Sacred Heart University, as well as a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from Keene State College.
Before joining Clinton Public Schools, she was the assistant principal of Killingly Intermediate School, which serves grades five through eight. ....

CLINTON Jared Eliot Middle School is losing a familiar face at the end of this school year.
Principal Linda Tucker, who announced her plans to retire recently in a letter sent home to parents at the end of April, has worked in education for almost 40 years.
“It has been my pleasure and a great privilege to work with, and for, students and staff at Morgan and Eliot,” Tucker wrote in the email. “Clinton is a wonderful community filled with caring, giving families and leaders at all levels. I know that the Clinton school system and greater community will continue to prosper and succeed moving forward.” ....
