106th Malasakit Center launched in Iloilo as Bong Go continues to push for better access to public health services nationwide
Efforts to provide better and more convenient access to public health services continue as Senator Christopher Bong Go virtually attended the launch of the country s 106th Malasakit Center at the Don Jose S. Monfort Medical Center Extension Hospital in Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo on Tuesday, May 4.
In his speech as a special guest, Go admitted that the country s hospitals are overwhelmed by the number of patients seeking medical attention amid the COVID-19 pandemic and vowed to push for measures to boost the capacity of health facilities and improve access to public health services nationwide. ....

Efforts to provide better and more convenient access to public health services continue as Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go virtually attended the launch of the country’s 106th Malasakit Center at the Don Jose S. Monfort Medical Center Extension Hospital in Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo on Tuesday, May 4.
In his speech as a special guest, Go, chairman of the Senate health committee, admitted that the country’s hospitals are overwhelmed by the number of patients seeking medical attention amid the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.
Go then vowed to push for measures to boost the capacity of health facilities and improve access to public health services nationwide. ....

Iloilo quarantine facility, dorm for healthcare workers completed–DPWH – Manila Bulletin

The 16-bed quarantine facility was built in Barangay Sooc, Arevalo district in Iloilo City but it will cater to patients from Jaro district.
“With the additional healthcare facility, some of the COVID-19 cases in Jaro district can now be transferred for better accommodation,” DPWH Secretary Mark Villar said.
It has 16 air-conditioned rooms, each equipped with one bed and a comfort room. The facility has a nurse station and a sanitation area.
An off-site dormitory was also constructed within the compound. It also has 16 air-conditioned rooms with two beds and a comfort room, accommodating a total of 32 medical frontliners in the city. ....
