Limerick s Covid-19 vaccination clinic at the Radisson Blu Hotel is closed again today due to the change in policy around AstraZeneca.
It means another 600 vaccinations have been postponed, bringing the total this week to 1,200.
The HSE say they have identified 400 patients from this number who are aged between 60 and 69 and they will be offered an appointment for tomorrow Thursday and will receive a text notification and they are encouraged to respond to the text and attend their appointments.
A spokesperson said: We have further advised Hospital Groups and CHOs to cancel all AstraZeneca clinics, except those arranged for certain people over the age of 60, for the remainder of this week as we work to reconfigure our rollout plans to take in to account the latest NIAC guidance. ....

Around 600 appointments for vaccinations in Limerick scheduled for today have been cancelled.
It follows updated guidance received from the National Immunisation Advisory Committee, and the Department of Health.
The advice is that the Astra Zeneca vaccine should not be given to anyone under 60.
The HSE last evening wrote to Hospital Groups and Community Healthcare Organisations to advise that all AstraZeneca Covid-19 Vaccination Clinics planned for today, Tuesday April 13th, should be cancelled.
Anybody due to attend an Astra Zeneca clinic is therefore advised not to do so.
It s estimated that around 600 appointments had been scheduled for the Raddisson Blu Hotel on the Ennis Road. ....

Hundreds of people who were due to receive their Covid-19 jab at a Clare vaccination centre today will see their appointment deferred.
The HSE has written to Hospital Groups and Community Healthcare Organisations to advise that all AstraZeneca Covid-19 Vaccination Clinics planned for today should be cancelled in light of updated advice from health officials.
