KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): The mission to repatriate Malaysians from New Delhi and Mumbai in India arrived at the Air Emergency Unit of the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) at 1am Wednesday (May 12).
According to a statement from the Foreign Ministry (Wisma Putra), the specially chartered Malindo Air aircraft landed with 132 people onboard.
From the number, 117 are Malaysian citizens and six dependents, one permanent resident of Malaysia and eight Brunei nationals.
Based on the close relationship between Malaysia and Brunei, the Malaysian government also extended a helping hand to bring back the Bruneians under the same mission, said the statement. ....

Eight Bruneians in New Delhi were repatriated along with 117 Malaysians, six dependents, and one permanent resident of Malaysia, the Foreign Ministry of Malaysia said yesterday.
The flight arrived at the Air Emergency Unit of the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) with 132 people onboard at 1am yesterday.
The flight from New Delhi and Mumbai in India was operated by Malindo Air, the Malaysian Foreign Ministry (Wisma Putra), said in a release.
All passengers, crew and frontliners in the mission were subjected to the rigorous standard operating procedures (SOPs) set by the Ministry of Health (MoH).
The mission’s success was due to the cooperation among the National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA), MoH, Immigration Department, Malaysian High Commission in New Delhi, Malaysian Consulate General in Mumbai and other agencies, the ....

LUMPUR: The Malaysian government will conduct a special repatriation mission to bring home Malaysians from the northern and western region of India as the country set another new record in daily new Covid-19 cases and fatalities on Thursday.
Malaysian Foreign Minister Hishammuddin Hussein (
pix) said the mission will be conducted with the cooperation of the National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA) and Health Ministry, using a specially chartered aircraft from Malaysia.
“The aircraft will depart to New Delhi and Mumbai, India as soon as all related arrangements including the approval from the Indian government for the special flight,” he said in a statement issued by the Malaysian Foreign Ministry (Wisma Putra) on Thursday. ....
