Bintulu Port's net profit falls to RM93.3mil in FY20

’s net profit for the financial year ended Dec 31, 2020 (FY20) fell to RM93.30 million compared with RM129.30 million registered in the preceding year.
Revenue slipped 1.27 per cent to RM707.31 million from RM716.42 million previously, it said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today.
The group said revenue generated from port services at Bintulu Port amounted to RM549.81 million against RM552.88 million in FY19 while Samalaju Industrial Port generated RM111.08 million in revenue compared with RM113.88 million previously.
For bulking facilities, the group said it registered a revenue of RM46.42 million in FY20 versus RM49.66 million in FY19, while revenue from construction services for concession infrastructure of RM8.39 million was recognised against RM8.68 million in the previous year. ....

Deleum confirms MACC interviewed its two senior executives

KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 15): Deleum Bhd has confirmed that two senior executives working for the company s subsidiary, Deleum Primera Sdn Bhd (DPSB), were interviewed by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), as reported by The Edge Markets yesterday.
In a filing with the bourse, Deleum said the relevant senior executives are currently assisting MACC with its investigation into an alleged illegal scheme.
The oil and gas firm revealed that its internal investigations discovered that the scheme had caused loss to DPSB, as set out in its Statement of Claim filed on Nov 5, 2020.
The company denies any involvement of the company s top management in the scheme and further denies any alleged understating of profits for the financial year ended Dec 31, 2019 (FY19) by DPSB and any other allegations of false accounting by DPSB. ....
