LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Many more pets will have full bellies and their owners will be thankful, thanks to a huge donation of pet food.
On Wednesday, staff from Hillside Animal Hospital dropped off about 6,500 pounds of food at La Crosse’s WAFER Food Pantry.
WAFER’s executive director says they are overwhelmed by the support.
“It surprised us all, that given the issues surrounding the virus and people not being allowed into the vet clinic. That perhaps the amount would have been less this year, but suprisingly it’s more than expected,” said WAFER executive director Erin Waldhardt. ....
