Watching Trevor Mallard doing, what should have been his dance of death in Parliament the Tuesday night, reminded me of shooting ducks in a fairground arcade. They re not always easy to knock down but when you connect, they disappear briefly and then reappear to be fired at again.

Māori Party co-leader Rawiri Waititi says Speaker Trevor Mallard s change of heart over his tie ruling is a huge win for both his party and his people.
But Mallard said that he and Waititi have agreed on a truce , for now.

Alright, I apologize for getting a little heated there. But Davenport officials are honestly asking a lot nicer than I am for you to PLEASE stop feeding the birds at Vander Veer Park.
We are halfway through January and you would think that most of the birds have migrated south for the winter. Apparently not all of them have and it s the fault of those who keep feeding the birds in Vander Veer Park.

Helping to understand the dishes that might popular with the citizens of Pompeii, a supposed fast food eatery in the Roman city was unearthed.
Massimo Osanna, the longtime chief of the Pompeii Archaeological Park, while some 80 eateries were found at the city following the volcanic explosion, this is the first thermopolium to be completely unearthed
A part of the counter was dug up in 2019. Since then, multi-sided counters wide holes inserted into its top, which purportedly held deep vessels for hot food. The counter features an image of an undersea nymph astride a horse on one side, while two upside-down mallards and a rooster are featured on another.
