Child care program shut down amid UMass Covid outbreak

AMHERST An in-person child care program that gives more than 30 children assistance with their remote learning is closed until at least Feb. 21 due to the COVID-19 outbreak at the University of Massachusetts.
Run by the Amherst Recreation Department from Amherst Regional Middle School, and licensed by the state, the program was suspended earlier this week, a casualty of the rise in coronavirus cases at the university and an order that all the college students self-sequester and not go to their jobs or internships. ....
