Hatfield Senior Softball League donates nearly $4K to Manna on Main Street

Members of the Montgomery County Senior Softball League of Hatfield recently donated $3,800 to the Manna on Main Street outreach organization, headquartered in Lansdale. The amount was the most raised in the organization’s 22-year history, despite having no fundraising activities due to COVID-19 restrictions. 
The league’s present membership includes more than 200 senior softball players age 60 and older. The league, founded in 1999, has had nearly 500 “old-timer ballplayers” participate during the last 22 years. 
Since 2015, the organization has held annual fundraisers to benefit a designated local charity. Proceeds are raised through various events and activities including a league softball tournament, a golf outing, the collection and sale of used golf balls and personal donations.   ....
