MARQUETTE The Community Foundation of Marquette County, including four affiliate funds Gwinn Area, Greater Ishpeming, Marquette, and Negaunee announce the opening of the annual competitive grant cycle now through April 2.
Competitive Grant Cycle grants are made from the community foundation’s unrestricted and field of interest endowment funds. These grants and grant guidelines follow the foundation’s “mission and focus on improving the quality of life for citizens of Marquette County,” organizers said. Volunteers who serve on Community Foundation committees evaluate grant applications for CFMC and each affiliate.
Applications are due at noon April 2.
In addition to supporting nonprofit programs, one-time operational support grants are also available this year. The committee will consider operational support grants based on demonstrated financial need by the organization. ....
