Rural fire reorganization proposal ‘merges’ Vaca-Cordelia, adds large Suisun piece
FAIRFIELD A reorganization proposal, if approved, would integrate the Vacaville and Cordelia rural fire districts and cleave a large chunk of the Suisun rural district into the mix.
The proposal was presented to the Suisun and Vacaville fire protection district boards of directors this past week. The Vacaville board approved a contract by which it largely assumes command and operational duties for the Cordelia district. The contract formalizes what has functionally been taking place for some time. ....
