Former Maruti MD Jagdish Khattar passes away
Former Managing Director of Maruti Suzuki and founder of Carnation Auto India, an automotive sales and service company, passed away on Monday due to a cardiac arrest. He was 78-years old.
Khattar was with Maruti Udyog Limited from 1993 till his retirement in 2007. He joined Maruti in 1993 as director of marketing and went on to became its MD in 1999, first as a government nominee and then in May 2002 as the Suzuki Motor Corporation nominee. ....

Jagdish Khattar, former managing director of Maruti Udyog Limited (MUL), passed away on Monday due to a cardiac arrest. He was 78 years old.
Maruti Suzuki Chairman RC Bhargava confirmed Khattar s death to CNBC-TV18 and said it is a deep personal loss.
“This is a deep personal loss and has come as a big shock. We had worked together for many years. He is someone who had done a lot of good for Maruti,” Bhargava told the publication. ....

Jagdish Khattar: Former Maruti managing director Jagdish Khattar passes away

Khattar, 78, served in Maruti Udyog Limited from 1993 to 2007.
He joined Maruti in July 1993 as director (marketing), and went on to become managing director in 1999, first as government nominee, and then in May 2002, as Suzuki Motor Corporation (SMC) nominee.
Prior to his stint with Maruti, Khattar was an IAS officer with around 37 years of experience.
After retiring in 2007, he started Carnation, a multi-brand car sales and service network. The venture was later acquired by Mahindra First Choice in 2018.

Jagdish Khattar, former managing director of Maruti Suzuki and founder of an automotive sales and service company, Carnation Auto India suffered cardiac arrest and died at the age of 79.
Jagdish was associated with Maruti Udyog Limited from 1993 till his retirement in 2007. Later, he joined Maruti in 1993 as director of marketing and went on to elevate as its MD in 1999, first as a government nominee and then in May 2002 as the Suzuki Motor Corporation nominee.
Before his stint with Maruti Suzuki, Jagdish served as an IAS officer with about 37 years of experience. After obtaining retirement from Maruti in 2007, he set up the foundation of his new company, Carnation Auto India that has a multi-brand pan-India sales and service network. ....
