According to the Maaroom Progress and Ratepayers Association, there are reports of anti-social behaviour at the local boat ramp and the association has since petitioned the council to do something about it.
This behaviour was described as primarily hooning in the boat ramp carpark.
Fraser Coast Regional Council responded to the reports at the Ordinary Council Meeting on March 24, saying the issue was more of a problem during the summer holiday peak, after 10pm.
The council communicated with the Queensland Police Service about the issue, but without any specific incidents, registrations or vehicle types, there was little police could do to apprehend offenders. ....
