TRIBUNBATAM.id - Today s earthquake with a magnitude of 6.2 shook the Talaud Islands region, North Sulawesi, this morning at 07.43 WIB, Saturday, (7/10/2021).
The results of the analysis of the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Department (BMKG) show that the epicenter of the earthquake is located at coordinates 2.99 degrees North Latitude and 126.64 degrees East Longitude.
The exact location was at sea at a distance of 112 km southwest of Melonguane City, Talaud Islands Regency, North Sulawesi at a depth of 23 km.
The Covid-19 cases in Indonesia rose by 5,832 within one day to 1,856,038, with the death toll adding by 163 to 51,612, the Health Ministry said on Sunday.

A second report was later issued by the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ), which listed it as a magnitude 5.2 earthquake. A third agency, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), reported the same quake at magnitude 5.6.
